Okay, Shadow Hearts. What a ride. This PS2 JRPG had everything: a genuinely dark, gothic horror setting, a protagonist who could transform into demons, and the iconic Judgment Ring combat system. Every attack, every spell, a timed button press. It added a layer of engagement that most turn-based games lacked. And the characters? Wildly eccentric, often hilarious, but with real depth. It’s criminal how this series faded; it was a perfect blend of weirdness and sincerity.
