The Generation GapWhat our critics say

This game offered a profoundly emotional, wordless narrative through its visual design and unique co-op mechanic. Players connected with strangers, often without direct communication, traversing a beautiful, desolate world together. Journey proved that games could evoke deep feelings of companionship and awe through minimalist design and shared experience, moving beyond traditional competitive or combative interactions.

Journey is just pure art, seriously. It’s a short, beautiful experience where you play as this robed figure, traversing a vast desert towards a distant mountain. There’s no dialogue, just stunning visuals, an incredible score, and this subtle multiplayer mechanic where you might encounter other players. It's all about connection and discovery. It gave me such a sense of wonder and peace, like a digital meditation. Absolutely breathtaking.

The music swells, guiding you. You feel connected. This is an experience. It is pure. It is moving. It stays with you. And it reminds you of shared humanity. It's a quiet adventure.
